I’ve been using digital camera for a number of years now, ever since my first one (a Fuji Finepix 2400). However, after purchasing my Canon 400D, I‚Äôve become aware of a small draw back to digital photograph. The issue I have is simply dealing with the number of pictures you end up at the end of a shoot, and thus the number of images you have to go through afterwards. Maybe this problem did exist for professional photographers when they used film, but for an amateur like me I was very careful thinking about when to press the shutter button. I had to remember that I only have 36 shots per roll and usually only a couple of rolls with me. However, now with 2GB or large memory cards the amount I can take is much greater. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that I just mindlessly point the camera in a direction and hold down the button, but I’m just taking more photographs of the same subject. The plus side of this is that it increases your chances of getting “that one shot” or a number of shots which you are hoping for. So taking more pictures increases the chances of getting that special shot. But it also increases the number of images you have to consider and decide whether to keep it or ditch it.
Oh well onto the next 110 images to sort through.
